Il locale è dotato di una bellissima terrazza panoramica, propone una cucina a base di piatti ticinesi, mediterranei, ma anche qualche specialità russa. il locale ospita inoltre esposizioni di artisti ed organizza intrattenimenti musicali. Il Tea Room "in Piazza" è nato nel 2008. Gestito dalla signora Bica Dos Santos Carmelina è un perfetto luogo d'incontro per una colazione, uno spuntino, soprattutto d'estate si può approfittare della bella piazzetta per gustarsi un gelato in compagnia ammirando gli scorci che offre il nucleo di Vernate.
