Scuola dell'infanzia e Scuola elementare
Il Centro scolastico di Vernate è stato inaugurato nel 1978. Una costruzione sobria ma funzionale, opera dell'architetto Giancarlo Corti di Aranno. Comprende due aule scolastiche e un "locale multi uso - palestra". Le aule sono occupate dal primo ciclo della scuola elementare (il secondo ciclo frequenta la sede di Neggio) e dalla scuola dell'infanzia. La composizione delle classi può variare a seconda delle decisioni dell'Ispettore scolastico a dipendenza delle iscrizioni. La scuola elementare è affidata alla maestra Renata Hochstrasser. La scuola dell'infanzia è seguita dalla maestra Sara Malfanti.
La scuola media di riferimento è quella di Serocca d'Agno.
